Revelation 10:1–7 describes seven thunders that John heard but was instructed not to record, leaving their message a mystery. These thunders occurred between the sixth and seventh trumpet judgments, affirming the angel’s declaration that God's plan was about to be fulfilled. Though we do not know what the thunders said, their silence highlights that God reveals what we need, not always what we want to know. Faith is not about having every answer but trusting in God's sovereignty and responding to what He has told us. Even in uncertainty, we can stand firm in God’s justice, mercy, and unchanging Word.
Perhaps the exact details of the information shared by the voice of the seven thunders were not recorded because the judgment was too severe to share. We can only speculate what the thunders sounded, but we can trust that God has revealed what we need to know. God does not always tell us everything, but He always gives us enough to stand firm in Him. While the seven thunders remain a mystery, we are not without direction. Instead of revealing their message, God affirms that His plan will be fulfilled and that there will be no more delay. This reminds us that our faith is not built on having all the answers but on trusting in God’s unchanging character. Even when we do not understand everything, we can hold fast to what He has revealed—His justice, mercy, and sovereignty—knowing that “his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness” (2 Peter 1:3). Believers have His Spirit (John 14:16–17; Romans 8:9, 26–30) and His Word (2 Timothy 3:16–17) to guide us through uncertainty.
