What is/isn't a Christian married couple allowed to do, sexually?

The Bible has a long list of sexual acts that are not allowed, to include sex outside of marriage and sex with animals. It does not directly address different sexual positions, oral or anal sex, or sex toys. We will not comment on what the Bible does not mention other than to say a loving spouse will not force something that is not wanted. The Bible addresses the heart far more than the body.

Christians are not allowed to deprive each other (1 Corinthians 7:5a). It is not biblical to refuse sex as punishment or use it to gain control. Sex is designed to strengthen a relationship, not harm it.

The focus of sex is each other; adultery is not allowed in any of its forms. This includes pornography and fantasy. Jesus said in Matthew 5:27-28 that indulging in the thought of adultery is adultery of the heart. Christians using another for sexual gratification through pictures or thoughts is not biblical.

Christians are not to be sexually selfish. Wives are to respect their husbands and husbands are to gently and sacrificially love their wives (Ephesians 5:33). This would exclude either spouse from forcing the other to do something they don't want. It also means finding an acceptable compromise regarding the frequency of sex.

Christian sex is a physical manifestation of God's definition of marriage: the two shall become one. Anything that harms that sentiment should be avoided. Sex is meant to be pleasurable, but also respectful. Anything less is not in God's plan.
