Will we be able to see the Trinity in heaven? Will all three members of the Trinity be visible to us?

The Trinity consists of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All three Persons of the Trinity will exist in heaven, but will we be able to see them?

It is clear that Jesus Christ will be seen in heaven. Revelation 5:6 speaks of Jesus as the Lamb who stands in the center of the throne. In John 14, Jesus said His followers would be with Him again in His Father's house. Acts 7:55 says "[Stephen], full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God."

Acts 7:55 also makes it clear we will at least see the "glory of God," in this case "God" seeming to refer to God the Father. Revelation 22:3-4 appears to indicate we will see God face to face: "No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads." In addition, Jesus said in Matthew 5:8, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." Since Jesus appears to be speaking of God the Father, this would indicate believers will see God the Father in heaven.

However, it is unclear if we will literally see Him in any physical form or whether we will only see the reflection of His glory. Either way, Jesus made it clear our Father will be with us in heaven (Matthew 6:9).

The Holy Spirit is Spirit, not physical. In the Bible, the Holy Spirit descended like a dove upon Jesus at His baptism (Matthew 3:13-17). In the upper room, the Holy Spirit appeared like tongues of fire (Acts 2:1-4). The Holy Spirit may take on a variety of forms at different times. Scripture does not make it clear how He will appear in heaven.

While the Bible reveals some details about the final resting place of the believer, not all details are known. It is clear we will see God, including all three Persons of the Triune God, in some form.

It is likely God the Father will be seen, though it is uncertain whether it will be His physical form or His glory. God the Son will be seen and worshiped in heaven. The Holy Spirit will be present in heaven as well, though He operates as Spirit and may or may not take on a visible form to believers in heaven.
