Yes, the Bible makes it clear that Jesus loves us. No matter what we have done, He provides eternal life for us freely if we believe in Him. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
God showed His love for us before we were even born by sending Jesus Christ, His own Son, to be the propitiation for our sins: "but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). He doesn't make us pay for salvation. It is a free gift that is available to us thanks to His grace. "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast" (Ephesians 2:8–9).
In this fallen world, we are used to people letting us down. It can be difficult to imagine that Jesus' love could never fail us. People let us down, but Jesus never will. Jesus is God in human form (John 1:14). He created us, sustains us, and offers us eternal life. His faithful love is always there for us: "The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness" (Lamentations 3:22–23).
One reason it can be difficult for us to believe that Jesus loves us is because we are aware of our own failures. We know all of the mistakes we have made and we have trouble believing that Jesus could love us. The good news is that Jesus already knows your past, and your future, and His love and forgiveness are freely available to you. Even when Jesus was dying on the cross, He showed love and saved a criminal who was being crucified on the cross next to Him. The criminal recognized Him as the Christ: "And he said, 'Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.' And he said to him, 'Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.'" (Luke 23:42–43). The criminal on the cross was dying when he expressed his faith in Jesus, but Jesus accepted his act of faith and promised him eternity with Him in heaven.
Jesus loves you so much that He gave His life so you could be born again and receive His eternal life. If you want to accept Jesus as your Savior right now, you can pray and accept Him as your Lord and Savior. The Bible says "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).
You don't have to pray it exactly like this, but here is a prayer of salvation you can use if you would like to follow Jesus and receive His eternal life:
"Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner. I know that no amount of good deeds I could do will get me into heaven. Today, I choose to put my faith in Jesus Christ. I believe that He is God's Son who was crucified and then rose from the dead so that I could be saved and have eternal life. I ask you now to forgive me of my sins. I want to live for you from this day forward. Thank you for accepting me as your child and for giving me the gift of eternal life."
