Is Jesus actually Michael the archangel?

No. Jesus is not an angel. The Bible clearly describes Jesus as the Son of God, the Son of Man, and our Savior.

Michael is the only angel described in the Bible as an "archangel" (Jude 1:9), but he is not God and doesn't hold a divine status as Jesus does. The difference between Jesus and Michael is best noted in Mathew 4:10 where Jesus rebukes Satan, and in Jude 1:9 where Michael "contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, 'The Lord rebuke you.'" See the difference in authority?

Jesus is God in the flesh (John 1:1, 14) and is worthy of worship. No angel is ever worthy of worship.

Hebrews 1 clearly and directly sets Jesus apart from all angels. There, Scripture describes Jesus as God's only Son, exhibiting God like no other and completing work that no other being could complete.

"[Jesus] is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs. For to which of the angels did God ever say, 'You are my Son, today I have begotten you'? Or again, 'I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son'? And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says, 'Let all God's angels worship him'" (Hebrews 1:3–6).

"Of the angels he says, 'He makes his angels winds, and his ministers a flame of fire.' But of the Son he says, 'Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions'" (Hebrews 1:7–9).

Though angels are sometimes called sons of God (Genesis 6:2–4; Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7), Jesus is clearly and repeatedly divine, and called THE Son of God (Hebrews 1:8; Matthew 4:3–6). Jesus and Michael the archangel are absolutely different.
