The Satanic bible – What is it?
The Satanic bible is a collection of dogma that is directly opposed to Christian thought and practice. It was written by Anton LaVey, a Satanist, and it details all the basics about Satanic ideals and rituals. Like the Bible, it claims to be the ultimate in Satanist thought, and that any additions or interpretations which go against what is written in the Satanic bible are to be considered wrong. According to the Satanic bible, Satan is not a real person but a symbol of humankind's struggle against the tyranny of the ideological God-figure.

The Satanic bible is divided into four books, named after four "chiefs" of hell. Each book stands alone, and concerns a different Satanic principle. Some of the main messages of the Satanic bible are as follows:
1. Man is his own god. Not surprisingly, the Satanic bible puts forth the same idea that Satan gave Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. If Eve were to eat of the forbidden fruit, Satan promised, she and Adam would "be like God, knowing good and evil" (Genesis 3:5). The Satanic bible says that man can determine truth on his own, without the help of revelation from God. God's Word says the opposite: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight" (Proverbs 9:10).
2. Sin is good for you! Basic common sense should prove to us that this is false. Sin does not make a person happy, nor does it contribute to the happiness of those around him. Pride, selfishness, over-indulgence, ignorance, lies, hatred, rage, addictions, sexual immorality and so on, are useful only for destroying relationships and making human beings miserable. But the Satanic bible offers up a bizarre conspiracy theory, saying that Christianity chose to call "sin" all the basic instincts of men in an effort to make them dependent on Christ and His mercy, to further the existence of the church. It goes on to argue that sin is a part of what we are, and is therefore neither immoral nor shameful. This is illogical. Sin is certainly part of what we are, but it does not follow that sin is moral and a good, happy thing. Sin is part of us because we fell for Satan's original lie and the result was the spiritual death that God warned us about (Genesis 2:16–17), which pretty much confirms the fact that it is Satan, not God, who is lying to us.
3. There is no afterlife, so live for today. The Satanic bible teaches that this life is the only life, and there is nothing after death, so mankind should live hedonistically now. It teaches that there is no accountability for sin, no heaven and no hell. The Bible again stands in direct contradiction to this teaching. Hebrews 9:27 says, "… it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment." Every soul will go to heaven or to hell in the end (Revelation 20:11–15). The only person in danger of hell is the one who rejects Christ. "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God" (John 3:18, see also verses 16–17).
These three lies work perfectly together. There is no hell, the Satanic bible says, so why should we care about sin? And if you still have doubts and fears and a conscience, it's no problem, because sin is a part of you, it's totally normal and natural. The only person that is served by these lies is Satan himself, as he attempts to justify his own actions in the garden and deny what he knows is coming: his own bitter defeat by a just and holy God (Revelation 20:7–10).
